Hello, I'm Rishon.

I'm a cybersecurity student based in Sydney, learning how to protect systems and tell better security stories.

I spend my days balancing university classes, labs, and catching up with friends who are learning alongside me. When I'm not studying, I'm experimenting with small projects, writing down what actually helped, and sharing that back with the people I collaborate with.

This site is my corner of the internet for all of that. I'm keeping things straightforward, having fun building it, and learning as I go. If you need to reach me, me@rishonlumba.com works (and honestly anything @rishonlumba.com will find me).

What I'm working on now

Coursework & Labs

Deepening my understanding of network defence, digital forensics, and secure coding through hands-on assessments.

Practice Projects

Building small scripts to automate security checks, and recreating real-world attack scenarios in controlled environments.

Learning Together

Setting up regular study sessions with friends, trading notes, and helping each other stay sharp as we figure things out.

Highlights so far

Current Studies

Pursuing a cybersecurity degree and focusing on the fundamentals that make strong security decisions possible.

Hands-on Practice

Regularly tackling capture-the-flag challenges and lab environments to test myself beyond the lecture slides.

Working with Friends

Pairing up on labs, testing each other's ideas, and keeping our progress moving forward together.

Why this site exists

I wanted a calm place to collect everything in one spot. This site gives me room to track progress, try ideas, and invite conversations without overcomplicating things.

It's a reminder that growth can stay personal and still be shared with anyone curious about the journey.
